T-Mobile and Orange Merger could be delayed to 2011

The merger between Deutsche Telekom’s T-Mobile and France Telecom’s Orange should be reviewed by the European Union rather that UK authorities- this was demanded by the heads of both the companies so that their proposal could be looked through carefully.

Richard Moat was of the opinion that the approval will be looked through only till the end of February and it will be accepted only till 2011 only if the process came back to Britain and if it was dealt in Brussels. As this merger will give a serious competition to the bigger mobile phone companies the British authorities are hesitating in looking through and accepting the approval. The French and the German companies wanted to joint ventures in September but since then it has not been looked through by the authorities.

Both the companies are demanding that the proposal should be looked through by the European Union rather than by UK authorities but the big mobile phone companies Telefonica SA’s O2 and Hutchison Whampoa Ltd’s 3 are completely contradicting and saying that if the merger will influence the consumers in Britain then only the British authorities should do the needful.

It has been found out that the latest Windows Mobile 7 based cell phones would arrive in the market till the end of this year. Gadget freaks are very excited to know about Microsoft’s next generation mobile operating system as it was kept a secret even in Steve Ballmer’s CES keynote.

The announcement about this state of the art phone was supposed to be made in February at the Mobile World Congress but it was cancelled and was decided that for now Microsoft’s news would just be about the comparatively less electrifying Windows Mobile 6.6.

However it has been found out that a demo of the Windows Mobile 7 was shown at the MWC; the final code will confirmed till summer and the product will be pout in the market till the end of the year. This website also declared that work is in progress for the manufacture of a consumer phone to substitute the Sidekick range it inherited from the achievement of Danger. This consumer phone would not be considered as the best Zune Phone but it will be able to connect to the Zune marketplace easily.

Now Microsoft is hoping that with Windows Mobile 7 they will be able to capture the market of business phones which is mainly the forte of Apple and Google.
